Will Grigg challenged to be a Walsall star
Chris Hutchings today called on Will Grigg to become a Walsall star.
Chris Hutchings today called on Will Grigg to become a Walsall star.
The 19-year-old is keen for more action after making his home debut in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Tranmere in the Carling Cup - 20 months after his senior bow at Cheltenham in December 2008.
And Hutchings says the Northern Ireland Under-19 striker must make his mark after the sale of Troy Deeney to Watford.
"It's up to him. He mis-sed one or two pre-season games with being away in the Milk Cup," he said.
"We get the international DVDs and look at how he's done, we think is he worth a chance, do we throw him on and will he take that chance?
"He's been playing in European qualifiers for his country and we've had four others strikers who were playing well last season."
