Blues ploughing into player bids

Birmingham are set to complete a £6million move for Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster - but Wigan have rejected their £8million bid for Charles N'Zogbia.
Foster was due to undergo a medical with Blues this morning, after a fee was agreed between the two clubs last week.
The England international will become Alex McLeish's first signing of the summer, with the manager acting quickly to fill the void left by Joe Hart since his return to Manchester City following a season-long loan at St Andrew's.
Although Foster began last term with high hopes of ousting Edwin van der Sar from his status as United's first-choice keeper, the 27-year-old's chance disappeared with high-profile mistakes against Manchester City and Sunderland at the start of the campaign, when the veteran Dutchman was missing through injury.
Despite these blunders, Foster was handed successive England starts, against Belarus and Brazil, leading to an expectation of still claiming a place in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad.
Instead, Ferguson kept him on the sidelines for almost the entire remainder of the season, which has led to him failing to make England's provisional squad last week.
After five years at United, Foster has accepted there is no future for him, especially as Sir Alex Ferguson persuaded first choice Edwin Van der Sar to sign another year's contract extension.
But Blues are not as far down the line with N'Zogbia, whose agent Franck Peslerbe claims Wigan have snubbed an opening offer for the 23-year-old star - but did hint his client would consider a move to St Andrew's.
Peslerbe said: "Birmingham have made a bid for Charles and Wigan have turned it down. There are also some other English sides apart from Birmingham interested in Charles.
"Charles is currently away on holidays but I am in discussions with Wigan. Everything depends on Wigan and if they accept a bid then things can go forward.
"If it was a good solution for Wigan and a good project for him then something might happen."
