Walsall have been boosted by the news skipper Mark Hughes will not miss the rest of the season after only receiving a two match ban.
There were fears the 23-year-old would be suspended for the last four outing of the campaign, after his second red card in four games in Tuesday's 4-3 defeat at Huddersfield.
But the Football Association have confirmed the defender will sit out two games – Saturday's trip to Swindon and next weekend's visit of Hartlepool.
Manager Chris Hutchings said: "Mark was unfortunate, Jordan Rhodes cut across him but any contact in the box is going to be a red card."
It was the Saddlers' eighth red card of the season and fifth in their last nine games – putting them level with Tranmere and Brighton at the top of the dismissal league.
But only Swindon, Exeter and Norwich have picked up fewer yellow cards – putting paid to the idea the Saddlers have become a dirty side.
