There was good news to boot without kicking a ball for Wolves, who play Stoke at Molineux tomorrow, after Burnley's suprisingly beat Hull 4-1 at the KC Stadium leaving both clubs four points from safety and five away from Mick McCarthy's men.

One team has already gone from the Premier League, with West Ham's win over Sunderland today relegating Portsmouth, who play Tottenham in the other FA Cup semi-final tomorrow.

Even Walsall had a good day at the office, giving their fans something to cheer about after coming from behind to beat Tranmere at the Banks's Stadium.
