Birmingham winger Gary McSheffrey is set to leave after admitting there is no future for him at St Andrew's.

The wide man has started just once in the Premier League this season and, with boss Alex McLeish set to spend in the transfer window, the 27-year-old reckons his days are numbered.

McSheffrey, an unused substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United, said: "I suppose as far as my future at Birmingham is concerned, I'd say that I don't have one.

"During the last transfer window, the manager made it clear that he was willing to offload me, so in that sense I've felt that I'm not wanted here.

"There have been times when I've felt that I should been on the pitch in front of certain other players and feel that I should have had more starts than I have done.

"That shows that I'm not in their plans."
