Walsall tying up McDonald extension
Walsall are tying up the signing of young defender Clayton McDonald on a third month's loan from Manchester City.

The Saddlers were working through the formalities of the deal today and hope to have McDonald available to face Stockport at the Banks's Stadium on Saturday.
The 21-year-old's second month expired last weekend and Walsall have waited until the end of the week to ensure the third month is extended as far as possible into December.
Manager Chris Hutchings was hoping for special dispensation to field McDonald in the reserves against Port Vale yesterday, but a minor illness ruled the tall centre-back out anyway.
The latest agreement will take McDonald to the maximum three months allowed under emergency loan rules, meaning he will be unavailable to Hutchings at the end of December.
But Walsall will be free to pursue a long-term loan or a permanent deal once the transfer window reopens in January.
The youngster, who is the son of former Saddlers forward Rod McDonald, has made eight appearances so far.
