The former World heavyweight champion – one of the most controversial figures in boxing – visits the city for the first time next month to host 'An Audience with.'

Fury, the reigning English heavyweight champion, will be there as the Wilmslow-based bruiser meets his idol for the first time.

In fact, all of his boxing-mad family are keen fans of 'the Baddest Man on the Planet,' with father John even naming his son after the boxer.

Fury takes time out from training for his title rematch with John McDermott in December for the night, after the belt controversially changed hands last month.

With 'Iron' Mike noting the WBC, WBA and IBF crowns under his achievements, the national champion will be hoping for some good advice on how to conquer the heavyweight world.

And the 21-year-old is looking forward to it.

Fury said: "I can't wait. I was named after the fellow thanks to my dad, so he is a big thing in our family. I have never met the guy and he is a big idol of mine, because there were few better than him in his day. He was awesome.

"I would definitely like to get some of the heights he has in the ring."
