Saville will be at Midland Area Awards
Midland lightweight champion Steve Saville will be among the guests at the Midlands Area Boxing Awards Dinner in Edgbaston on September 5.
'The Wednesfield Bomber' is due to attend the ceremony at the Eaton Hotel in the second city, along with various promoters, trainers and fellow fighters from the 'First Team Promotions' camp.
Saville is the sole reigning Midland title holder from the Black Country, after beating Coventry's Baz Carey by knockout in the seventh round of an epic battle at Wolverhampton Civic Hall last November.
A keen student of the sport and it's past competitors, the 32-year-old puncher is looking forward to the occasion - ahead of his next fight at the Civic on September 18.
He said: "I will be there, to meet all the old champions and fighters and listen to all the old stories. It brings it back to reality and reminds you of how much the sport has changed over the years.
"All the fighters in our 'First Team' camp have great respect for the old guard."
