Albion winger Chris Brunt is aiming for a double-figures goal return this season as he looks to carry his Premier League momentum into the Championship.

Brunt wants to build on his impressive end to the top-flight campaign to help give the Baggies a flying start to what they hope will be a promotion campaign.

Brunt scored five times in the final seven matches of last season to end with 10 goals in total but he could not help to stave off relegation.

Brunt said: "It was a nice way for me to end the season but it would have been better if we had stayed up.

"Personally it was good to get goals but the summer is a long time so now it's about getting myself as fit as possible, starting the new season and trying to pick up where I left off last time.

"At Sheffield Wednesday I got 10 goals in the Championship and I would be delighted with anything like that."
