The Saddlers were put through their paces by boss Chris Hutchings, who has given goalkeeper Clayton Ince an extra week off after Trinidad and Tobago's World Cup Qualifiers.

But Weston is ready to return ahead of the start of the League One season at Brighton on August 8.

He said: "It's about expecting the unexpected. Although I expect it to be a fairly gentle introduction and then get put through our paces next week.

"That's my interpretation anyway, I might be completely wrong."
