Blues closing in on Benitez deal
Birmingham are set to complete the capture of record signing Christian Benitez early next week.

The 23-year-old Ecuador striker is due to fly in and undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a deal which will cost an initial £6.2million, but could eventually rise to £9million.
The Santos Laguna player has averaged more than a goal every other game for his club and netted 10 times in 17 appearances for his country.
Benitez's international team-mate Giovanny Espinoza is also poised to cement his move this weekend, in a £600,000 switch from Barcelona Sporting Club, again subject to a medical.
