Rangers ready for Brunt bid

Rangers are ready to step up their bid to sign Chris Brunt from Albion, according to reports in Scotland today.

The Baggies winger has emerged as a leading target for the Old Firm club, but Hawthorns chairman Jeremy Peace has insisted none of the Baggies' star players will be leaving this summer.

Brunt, whose family are Rangers fans, hit a flurry of goals at the end of the season to grab the attention of scouts.

Albion are still pursuing their interest in deposed Rangers captain Barry Ferguson.
