Next stop Civic for Sam
Stourbridge boxer Sam Horton drives a bus for a living - now it's next stop the main event at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.
The 23-year-old tops the bill on April 3 on the back of 11 straight wins since entering the pro ranks, a run that has propelled the middleweight onto the radar of title contention.
By day, Horton drives for National Express West Midlands, dawn breaking with a 5am run before his shift, before a session in the gym on his lunch break.
When the bus rolls into the depot in the evening, out rolls the driver and off he goes to Wednesbury Boxing Gym for sparring, eventually arriving home at 9pm.
But you will not hear Horton complain, such a workload is necessary to get to the top.
He said: "It's tough for any boxer juggling a job with training hard, but you only get out of your career what you put into it.
"Putting on a good show at the Civic is my next target, then I am coming for a title.
"I am looking at an English title first, then who knows after that?"
