Tributes have poured in to Mr Mynard, from Kidderminster, who is described as a dedicated player and a genuinely nice person.

Born in Bewdley on December 19, 1925, he played for his home town at Bewdley Football Club and then went into the reserves at Molineux, making first team appearances in the 1945 and 1946 season.

In 1949 he transferred to Derby County when he was 23-years-old and later went to Scunthorpe United before playing with Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers.

Legendary Wolves and England goalie Mr Bert Williams said: "I am very sorry to hear he has passed away. He was a genuinely nice person.

"I remember him very well. He was a typical dedicated Wolves player."

He leaves a widow Barbara and daughter Susan. His funeral is at Stourbridge Crematorium at 10.20am tomorrow.
