Kyle Perry could be back to boost Chasetown's firepower and keep their 100 per cent start over the Bank Holiday.

Perry has been out with a foot injury but could be back in contention for either tomorrow's trip to Malvern or Monday's trip to Bishops Cleeve.

Former Walsall trialist Perry has only been able to watch as Scholars striker Dean Perrow has rattled in three goals in two games while Danny Smith obliged last Saturday against Berkampsted.

"Kyle has an outside chance of being fit," said boss Charlie Blakemore.

"If not tomorrow then maybe by Monday he'll hopefully be back in contention."

Blakemore believes he has the right blend up front after his side struggled to find the net regularly last campaign.

Summer arrivals Perry and Perrow have supplemented Smith and Blakemore is convinced he has enough firepower to threaten Southern League Midlands defences this season.

"Danny got one last Saturday and Dean's got three in two games - they've got the season off to a flier for us and really stepped up to the mark," said the boss.

"We've taken our chances and yet so many times in the past we have played well and got beat."

After travelling down the M5 tomorrow, Blakemore is hoping for a repeat of the first two games at Bishops Cleeve on Monday.

"We've got a lot of work to do - all I've told the players is keep getting three points," he said.
