Moxey also reassured fans that the minor delays in Steve Morgan's £30million takeover are not affecting the club's transfer plans.
"We're talking to a number of clubs at the moment about a number of players and we're confident we will be making some exciting signings," he said.
"But we're going to stick to what we said we would do originally – which is getting the right players at the right price. That takes time and therefore we would ask our fans to be patient at the moment."
Wolves are actively pursuing a clutch of top transfer targets – with high-profile bids made for strikers Billy Sharp and Freddy Eastwood already lodged.
But Wolves have been left playing a waiting game for both forwards, with Southend rejecting an initial £1m offer and Sharp delaying a decision until he returns from holiday.
The two head a long list of targets which includes a left-winger, a pair of centre-backs and a new full-back.
Moxey is keen to reassure supporters that the club have already been given the green light to pursue a number of top targets – even though the takeover has not been completed.
The final legal details of Morgan's takeover are set to be completed this week, with the Cheshire-based businessman officially taking over in seven days time.
The Molineux chief executive – who will retain his role in the new administration – insists it has not hit their summer transfer plans.
"The takeover situation is not affecting our transfer plans – we have the green light to proceed as planned," he said.
"Work to recruit new players is proceeding even though the takeover has not yet been completed.
"We have permission from both Sir Jack and Steve to acquire players the manager Mick McCarthy has identified."
