The Scot's groin strain has healed and he is in line to return to the back four for the highly-charged Albion clash on Sunday.
"Jackie was injured when he collided with some advertising hoardings and he strained his groin," said physio Alan Peacham.
"It was nothing too sinister, and we hope to see him ready for contention for Sunday's game."Meanwhile winger Lewis Gobern and skipper Jody Craddock have both had injections as they look to get back
"Lewis Gobern has a nerve problem in his hamstring that is proving to be quite niggly," Peacham said.
"He has now seen a specialist in Birmingham who advised him to have a different type of injection, which he had on Tuesday.
"We are hoping to see him progress over the next couple of weeks.
And captain Craddock is hoping to start running as his comeback from achilles tendonitis continues.
"Jody had an injection this week which helped his Achilles tendon problem to settle down. We'll have another look at him at the end of the week to see how he's getting on. The aim is for him to step things up and to start doing some running in the next few days.
