The Molineux club's legendary goalscorer reckons that the grit and fire installed by manager Mick McCarthy will stand them in good stead.

"When they drew at home to Oldham and we knew they had to go up there for a replay, I was probably thinking the same as a lot of Wolves fans: 'Uh-oh, I don't fancy that one much.'"But they have got a great little win there, although I can't believe they needed any extra incentive once they knew they had a home tie against Albion at stake," said Bull.

"They got a well-deserved 2-0 and must have wanted it more which is the key thing. Mick McCarthy is doing a fantastic job and has got the team digging deep and giving everything.

"He was like that as a player and it's natural his team will be the same.

"They are not the most skilful Wolves team we've seen down the years - but they don't half work hard and they can play a bit when it matters, don't worry about that.

"If they could get a 25-goal a season man in that side then they would be a real strong contender for promotion - they would be right up there.

"People will talk about Albion's away form, but I don't think it will be that big a factor. Derbies are all blood and guts, regardless of who has the most fans in the venue.

"But in the first match, Wolves were still bedding down as a team and a little bit all over the place.

"That's changed for me - there is a very solid look about them now and we're still only three points behind them in the League.

"Although Albion have got top players that we all know about, our boys won't be fazed by them at all. It's going to be a great day."
