New technology HeatRelease is designed to draw excess body heat away within 20 minutes, with the technology available across three Simba hybrid mattresses.
A mattress designed to keep sleepers up to 4.4°C cooler could offer another option for menopausal women struggling with hot flushes and night sweats.
Simba has introduced HeatRelease, a cooling technology exclusive to the sleep brand in the UK. It is designed to remove excess heat from around the body within 20 minutes and maintain an ideal sleep temperature for up to eight hours.
The system uses precision graphite cooling strips alongside graphite-infused Simbatex foam and Simba’s breathable spring architecture.
HeatRelease cannot prevent hot flushes, and experiences of menopause vary. However, reducing the heat retained around the sleeper could help create a more comfortable environment when overheating is disrupting sleep.
Night-time hot flushes can mean repeatedly waking, removing bedding or clothing, changing position and trying to cool down before attempting to return to sleep. Lighter pyjamas, different bedding and a cooler bedroom may help, but the mattress itself can also retain warmth.
Simba CEO Steve Reid says cooling has become one of the biggest priorities in sleep innovation, with HeatRelease bringing thermal engineering together with the company’s existing mattress technology.
The feature comes as standard with Simba’s flagship Hybrid Ultra mattress. This model includes patented Aerocoil microsprings, two layers of graphite-infused Simbatex foam, a PureLift™ comfort layer, Stratos cool-touch cover, FusionCool layer and SupportCore spring system.
Hybrid Ultra prices begin at £1,749 for a Single and rise to £2,999 for a Super King.
Customers can also add HeatRelease as an upgrade to the Hybrid Luxe and Hybrid Pro mattresses.
The Hybrid Luxe has a more plush feel and features Aerocoil microsprings, graphite-infused Simbatex foam, a breathable bamboo-infused wool layer and Steel SupportCore springs. Prices with the cooling upgrade start from £1,998 for a Double.
The Hybrid Pro combines Aerocoil spring technology with graphite-infused Simbatex foam. A Double with the HeatRelease upgrade starts from £1,498.
Simba offers a 200-night trial for customers considering a new mattress. Delivery charges may apply.
