The audience, most of whom had brought along picnics bursting with cheese, wine and other goodies, enjoyed a performance of Francesco Cavalli's La Calisto against the backdrop of the Victorian manor house and setting sun.nextpage

La Calisto was part of Wightwick's Music At The Manor season but the first concert to be held outdoors. Patrick Vasey, visitor services manager, said: "I hope it will be the first of many such evenings to come."nextpage
