Wet week ahead as West Midlands weather continues to turn

The week ahead will see a mix of cloud and showers as the weather continues to take a turn for the worse.

Weather watchdog, the Met Office, has said the week ahead will remain unsettled with below-average temperatures into the weekend.

The Met Office predicted a week of cloud and rain with temperatures remaining consistent throughout.

It comes as pressure remains in charge across the UK, bringing mixes of sunshine, rain and showers.

The week ahead will see temperatures averaging around 18C, with Monday to Friday seeing highs of 19C, and lows of 9C.

Saturday will be the highlight of the weekend, seeing temperatures spike to a lovely 21C, with lows of 12C.

Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Chris Bulmer, said: “Over the next few days we’ll continue to see a fairly changeable picture, with a mix of sunshine and showers for many. Into the weekend, a more organised area of rain and stronger winds will move across the UK, although this system is likely to weaken as it does so.

“While some heavier rain and gusty conditions are possible at times, the overall picture remains one of changeable weather, with further spells of rain or showers interspersed with some drier and brighter periods.”
