Hospital has a pothole problem
Is it not about time the potholes at New Cross Hospital car parks are addressed?
It's very much like driving on the moon. The potholes are deep and dangerous. They charge extortionate fees to park there so surely they can afford to make them safe to use.
My granddaughter took me to the hospital in good time for a 12pm appointment (Feb 25) and we drove into the car park and around and around there were no spaces so we had to pay £3.50 to exit and go around again and same thing happened another £3.50 that is now £7 to not be able to park. She finally found a space in another car park for a two hour stay another £6.50, so in all £14 to park for 2 hours to receive medical treatment where I was not allowed to go alone as needed someone with me for the procedure I had to have.
They say they don't have the funds to address the numerous potholes. I beg to differ. If out of the hundreds of patients parking each day I truly do not believe them.
The potholes are huge and dangerous and are causing cars to burst tyres as had happened to two other cars in the car park that day. How many more claims do the they want to fund rather than fix the problem?. This can be done on a night shift bases so as to cause as little disruption as possible to the hospital. If they dare to suggest that this is too expensive well!
Lower your prices and let people pay what it's worth to park there which is very little to park on top of a dangerous waste heap of crumbling tarmac, bricks and undergrowth. It is a disgraceful mess.
