PICTURE FROM THE PAST: The striking architecture of Darlington Street Methodist Church, Wolverhampton, in the 1900s when the road extended right down into Chapel Ash, uninterrupted by ring road or traffic island. The historic church has now closed and is instead home to a banqueting hall.

Green bin rules make no sense

Peter Lowe’s letter to the Express & Star published on  February 20 is so right and spot on regarding bin collections in the winter months.

I look up and down our street.

Every time the green bin is due to be collected and guess what, it’s spot the green bin, there isn’t one.

I said this at the time Dudley Council were introducing collections in the winter and putting the cost up to £56 pounds. It’s a rip off.

As Peter Lowe as suggested, give us a choice as to whether we want our bin collected in the winter months and let us pay accordingly.

I haven’t put my green bin out for three months.
