PICTURE FROM THE PAST: The Wheel at Worfield was known as the place where bikers assembled on Wednesday evenings. But that all stopped in 2005 when police objected over road safety concerns. The decision brought great sadness to those who loved seeing the bikers and led to one final protest.

Where is the socialism here?

What possible new definition of socialism could have evolved when it is represented by the likes of Lord Peter Mandleson and Sir Keir Starmer?

For a start, shouldn’t socialists, by definition, be turning down such titles of privilege as Lord and Sir?

Of course there can’t be many people left who haven’t heard that Sir Keir’s father was a ‘tool maker’ and this fact becomes more and more evident every time Mr Starmer’s son, our Prime Minister, opens his mouth! We must give the man his due though, he does remove his tie when rubbing shoulders with us hoi polloi! And what kind of ‘socialist’ lives in a ‘£12 million London house’? The kind of socialist that son of toil Lord Mandleson is apparently.

‘Up the workers!’
