Peter helped me immensely
I was saddened to read that Peter Rhodes has a life threatening illness, and that he is standing down from his journalistic career. Peter helped me immensely as an up and coming writer when I moved up from London in the late 80s.
Without his notes on journalistic protocols, story and short article construction, and his constant help, my contributions to the Express & Star, and later on many other papers would not have been any where as successful. What little fame and fortune that came my way was immensely helped by his input, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
Peter old mate, get well soonest, I can only quote the standard comment between two old soldiers......"what's your boot size....and remember that 10 quid I lent you" Certa Cito.
