'The cost of acquiring bus depots will be discussed in private, so much for transparency!' - Your Letters: September 10
PICTURE FROM THE ARCHIVE: Many Wulfrunians will recognise this 1967 view of Worcester Street and Penn Road, with St Paul’s Church dominating the landscape. It was demolished to make way for the city’s ring road, opening up the view of the old Sunbeam works, which have now been turned into flats.

WHY ARE BUS TALKS PRIVATE?
As part of the proposed bus franchise, the purchase of a number of bus depots will be on the agenda, approximately eight.
It says that the cost of acquiring bus depots will be discussed in private, so much for transparency.
It also states that the bus franchise would be the most efficient way to deliver bus services.
It doesn’t say anything about the more cost effective way, so I supposed we are to pay the price in the final analyses.
