SO INSULTED BY APOSTROPHE

You recently published a letter of mine in which I referred to The Brackens estate in Wordsley, which is where I live. I was absolutely incensed to see that, for God knows what reason, a classic "greengrocer's apostrophe" had been inserted, thus rendering the name as The Bracken's".

What cretin is responsible for this? I certainly never make such elementary punctuation errors and I find it insulting and embarrassing that anything I have written should be exposed to public perusal in this way.

This is disgracefully sloppy, thoughtless and irresponsible journalism but, sadly, it is only to be expected if, as is apparent, one employs comprehensive-educated, tattooed morons with Mickey Mouse degrees.
