'This it is still a very unsettling time for staff and customers' - Your Letters: April 30
PICTURE FROM THE ARCHIVE: Walsall South MP Bruce George and Walsall North MP David Winnick joined jobs marchers on their way to Birmingham at a rally in Bloxwich in 1982 to protest at high levels of unemployment in the town.

LEISURE CENTRE FIGHT GOES ON
Campaigners against privatisation of the leisure centres were out in force on a sunny Saturday in Stourbridge.
They were joined by Cat Eccles, MP and councillors Jason Griffin and Andrew Tromans.
We have to remember that council tax payers paid £18.4 millions for the new centre in Dudley - The Duncan Edwards - and £8.4 million for the refurbishment of Halesowen Leisure Centre.
I must mention that, quite disappointingly, £26,000 was also spent on consultants looking at outsourcing and spent nothing on keeping the centres in public hands.
Dudley councillors have voted to support scrapping the outsourcing of leisure centres. Despite this it is still a very unsettling time for staff and customers.
