From the town of Kempten in Bavaria comes news of a mass brawl involving two families, writes Peter Rhodes.
One clan moved a park bench into the sunshine. Then the other lot turned up and said they always used that bench and wanted it in the shade.
One family then rushed off and came back with chains and a padlock (so organised, these Germans) to prevent the others from moving it.
After a bit of pushing and shoving the police arrived and gave them both ein damn gut talking-to.
And you wonder why the Germans always manage to grab the sunbeds on holiday. They spend the rest of the year practising.
