One of the unkinder Fleet Street columnists compares Prince Harry's "genuine medals" with the "token decorations" worn by his father, Prince Charles, writes Peter Rhodes.

Prince Charles qualified as a Para and a Royal Navy captain and it is hardly his fault that, like many others, he served during the Cold War when there was little scope for winning medals.

Thankfully, because the West's deterrence was so convincing, the Cold War never turned hot.

The strangest thing is that having prevented Armageddon, the armed forces never got a Cold War medal.
