It is reported that some Royal Navy chiefs are worried that a number of nations, including Thailand, may soon have bigger fleets than Britain, writes Peter Rhodes.

As neither we nor Thailand have any immediate plans to invade each other, they may be worrying too much.

And are they taking into account those magnificent new British aircraft carriers under construction, HMS Job Creation and HMS Unaffordable?

Commissioned by Gordon Brown and built in Scotland (surprise, surprise), this pair of leviathans will put the wind up Johnny Foreigner.

Even if we haven't actually got any aircraft that can take off or land on them.
