First daytime fog of the autumn and barely two weeks after the carnage on the M5, the usual suspects are driving without lights, writes Peter Rhodes.

What is it with these idiots?

Are they too stupid to figure out that no-one can see them?

Or do they believe the electricity they use in the car goes through their domestic meter and has to be paid for?

Fools or skinflints, they are a menace.
