How dare they treat us like fools
So there we have it! The Government listen, they applaud the work, dedication, bravery of the emergency services, they say they are listening but they are not hearing. I suggest they remove the builder’s ear defenders and then they will hear the anger and discord this Government is causing.
What MP works seven days a week on a 24-hour system? What MP attends the aftermath of tragic incidents and deals with the terrible sights all our services have to deal with? What MP is spat upon, assaulted, abused? What MP goes to an incident on their own not knowing what they will be met with? What MP sees and deals with unbelievable sights at our A&Es or the scenes of horrendous fires? However all MPs did get 10 per cent wage increases, housing benefits, expenses of all sorts.
So now we all know just how much this Government appreciates all our public sector workers but I would like to know where the unions are in all this furore, aren’t they there to protect and fight for workers' rights?
Oh sorry, I forgot, successive governments have placed legal strangleholds upon them, making them powerless.
So Mr and Mrs MP don’t worry, you who receive £70,000thousand pounds, but fear not, the working class will keep you living in the style you have become accustomed to. I just ask that you supply a flat cloth cap to all, so that when you drive or walk by we can all doff the cap and bow our heads and perhaps you may throw us some scraps.
I often wonder what has happened to the British spirit? When Maggie introduced the dreaded poll tax this nation was in uproar and it forced the then Government to abolish it, but now we have had austerity for over seven years, introduction of food banks because people cannot afford to buy food, cuts to all services, cuts to all types of benefits, the young and old targeted in one way or another and yet we keep on being trampled upon and the government just keep stamping harder and harder. We are treated and spoken to like fools.
