Bill to launch 'little purple book'
Bill Etheridge is set to launch his latest book next week.
The UKIP MEP and parliamentary candidate for Dudley North says his 'little purple book' will feature a 'strong defence' of the British working class.
The book is entitled 'Putting Great back into Britain - a guide to a post Brexit economy in the UK' and will officially launch on May 11.
In it Mr Etheridge dismisses claims that working class Brits are lazy and don't want to work, and argues they have always had decent values and attitudes.
He says 'special interest groups' consisting of big businesses and charities captured the government agenda during the EU referendum campaign 'to line their own pockets at the expense of the little guy'.
Mr Etheridge said: "Bullying and oppression are built into Socialism and a post Brexit Britain needs to embrace free market economics, but not the kind the EU have corrupted which actually creates barriers to entry and stops perfect competition developing.
"We can believe in Adam Smith's principles but still understand that big business needs some overarching framework because after all, they can afford the lobbyists and power corrupts."
He added that he hoped his book would highlight the need 'to put our own people first'.
Among his previous works Mr Etheridge published the controversial tome 'Britain: A Post-Political Correctness Society'.
