It comes less than 48 hours after a collision between a car and a lorry on Monday, March 23 that left more than 300m of central reservation barriers needing replacing.

A live traffic tracker posted shortly after 11am on Wednesday, March 25 reporting an accident on the M6 southbound between junction seven at Walsall and junction six at Birmingham.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to return around 12.15pm. Commuters are advised to pay attention to traffic updates and allow for extra time to complete their journeys.
