Heavy traffic reported in Stourbridge more than two days following 'vehicle fire'
Heavy traffic is continuing to be experienced on a road in Stourbridge more than two days following a vehicle fire on the route.
Heavy traffic continues to be reported on the A449, near the Manor House of Whittington pub, near Stourbridge, following a vehicle fire on February 22.
The road was closed earlier in the week after emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle being ablaze on the carriageway at around 1.12pm.
A fire engine from Kinver attended the scene, with road closures being put into place around the time.
No injuries were reported in relation to the fire; however, a road closure was put into place to make way for roadworks to the fire-damaged carriageway with around 1.3 miles of congeston being reported as of 5.50pm.

A picture, sent to the Express and Star by Facebook user Johanna Williams, shows the extent of traffic on the route as of around 7am on Wednesday morning.
One road user, Taylor Hughes, said: "It was terrible this morning. I was in traffic for around 30 minutes; it really needs to get sorted.
"It's been more than two days since the fire, but it is causing a lot of hassle."
The fire service reported that the car had been fully destroyed due to the incident, with the roadworks expected to be in place until around 11.59pm on Friday.
The description of the works, on the Causeway One Network website, reads: "Highway signage installation, two-way lights required due to vehicle fire and carriageway damage."
