Wolverhampton metro services halted following 'points and signal failure'

Metro services in Wolverhampton have been disrupted due to a signal failure.

West Midlands Metro have warned of disruption to their regular services following a points and signal failure at Pipers Row, Wolverhampton

The disruption was reported at around 9.56am today, with West Midlands Metro saying that due to the fault, no services will be in operation from The Royal and Wolverhampton Station.

Trams remain operational between The Royal and Edgbaston Village only.

A Metro spokesperson said: "Due to a points and signal failure at Pipers Row, there is currently no service in operation between The Royal and Wolverhampton Station. 

"Trams are operating between The Royal and Edgbaston Billage only. 

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
