Motorists warned to expect delays as A457 roadworks begin on Birmingham road for water repairs
Drivers have been warned to expect delays as essential water work repairs take place on the A457 in Birmingham.
West Midlands Roads put out the message to warn of delays on the A457 between Heath Street and Winson Green Road in Birmingham due to the works by Severn Trent Water.
Bus services have also been impacted as temporary, multi-way traffic signals have been put in place, with the work expected to go on until Thursday.
A spokesman for West Midlands Road said: "On the A457 Dudley Road, essential Severn Trent Water roadworks are taking place between Heath Street junction and Winson Green Rd junction.
"Due to ongoing disruption, the following bus services are currently impacted: 11A, 82, and 87.
"Some delays are expected, so please allow extra time for your journey and check for updates where possible
"Multi-way temporary traffic signals are still in place, so expect delays in the area until February 5."
