'Take extra care' says rail operators as yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in place for the West Midlands
Rail operators have warned to 'take care' while using their services today as temperatures remain low in the region.
London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway have both urged care when using their lines amid today's freezing temperatures.
It comes as the Met Office extends a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in the West Midlands today, meaning that scattered snow and wintry showers could impact travel services.

The yellow weather warning is expected to be in place until 11am today.
Now, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway have both urged vigilance while using their services, with both operators asking travellers to 'take extra care' while on their platforms.
Both rail services said: "The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning due to snow and ice across the West Midlands.
"Please take extra care at stations, on platforms, and when boarding your train."
Yesterday, West Midlands Fire Service also urged care when driving on the roads, saying to remain at a low speed and leave extra space.
A fire service spokesperson said: "A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place across the West Midlands until midday today.
"Icy roads and poor visibility may affect travel.
"If driving, slow down, leave extra space, brake gently, clear windows and check tyres. Stay safe."
Both West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway have advised checking their websites for cancellations or delays ahead of travelling today.
