M6 lane closures: Both carriageways partially closed due to 'infrastructure defect'
Motorists using the M6 in Staffordshire have been facing delays after lane closures.
National Highways said that two lanes had been closed on both carriageways between Junction 14 for Stafford and Junction 15 for Stoke as engineers worked to repair a defect.
Photos of the M6 show traffic backed up along the northbound carriageway.

A spokesman for National Highways said: "Two of four lanes are closed in both directions on the M6 in Staffordshire between Junction 14 for Stafford and Junction 15 for Stoke due to an infrastructure defect.
"National Highways Traffic Officers are currently on scene dealing with traffic management."
