Rail services disrupted due to trespasser seen on line near Kidderminster
There were delays on the Snow Hill line after a trespasser was seen on the line near Kidderminster.
West Midlands Railway put out a message at 3.03pm to inform passengers that services would be delayed and disrupted due to the trespass incident, with rail replacement bus services put in place between Stourbridge Junction and Worcester Shrub Hill.
The line was later confirmed as reopened and running at reduced speed at 3.54pm by West Midlands Railway, with disruption said to be expected until 4.15pm.
A spokesman for West Midlands Railway said: "Due to trespassers on the railway between Kidderminster and Stourbridge Junction, the line is blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
"Disruption is expected to last until around 4.15pm today."
A spokesman for Transport for West Midlands said: "Train services on the Snow Hill line may be delayed and disrupted due to a passenger trespass incident near Kidderminster.
"Passengers can use their rail tickets on NX Buses along the Snow Hill corridor between Birmingham and Stourbridge on 6, 7, 9, X10, 4M, 12, 13, 74, 80, 87, 8, 16, 8A/C, 16 and 101 services."
