Two men taken to hospital after head-on crash in Walsall

Two men were taken to hospital after being involved in a head-on collision on a road in Pelsall.

Fire crews from Aldridge and Bloxwich fire stations were called out following reports of the collision on Hall Lane at around 6pm on Friday evening.

They arrived at the scene and found two cars severely damaged and the road blocked off.

They worked at the scene to help two men, who received medical treatment and were taken to hospital for further treatment.

A spokesman for Aldridge Fire Station spoke about the challenging road conditions, which were made more challenging by Storm Claudia.

He said: "Crews from Aldridge and Bloxwich fire stations have attended a head-on collision involving two cars this evening on Hall Road in Pelsall.

"Two men have been taken to hospital for further treatment.

"Road conditions are extremely challenging in the storm, so please take extra care if you’re travelling tonight. 

"Stay safe and drive to the weather conditions."
