Delays on M6 near Walsall after lorry breakdown leaves lane closed

There have been delays for motorists heading north on the M6 near Walsall after a lorry breakdown.

The breakdown was reported by National Highways West Midlands at 3.30pm on the northbound carriageway between junction 10 for Walsall and junction 10A for the M54 and saw one lane closed and 40 minutes of delays while recovery was taking place.

A spokesman for National Highways West Midlands said: "Lane one of four is closed on the M6 northbound between junction 10 for Walsall and junction 10A for the M54 due to a broken down lorry. 

"Recovery is on scene and there are 40 min delays above normal travel time in the area."
