Delays for drivers after collision sees woman and boy taken to hospital and leaves road near Tipton partially blocked

There have been traffic delays near Tipton after a collision left a road partially blocked.

The collision occurred at around 10am on Wednesday morning on the A457 Sedgley Road West near Oxford Way, with West Midlands Roads saying the road was partially blocked as a result.

A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "There has been a collision on the A457 Sedgley Road West near Oxford Way, just up from Pie Factory lights in Tipton.

"Due to the collision, the road is partially blocked."

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two car RTC on Sedgley Road West in Tipton at 10.01am today. 

"One ambulance attended and assessed four occupants. 

"Two men were uninjured and discharged on scene. 

"A woman and boy were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for precautionary checks."
