Broken down train causing morning of disruption for passengers on Snow Hill Line

Rail passengers on the Snow Hill Line have been hit with a morning of disruption after a train broke down at a station.

West Midlands Railway confirmed that services may be cancelled or delayed on the line, which runs through stations in Sandwell, Stourbridge and down towards Kidderminster, after a train broke down at Tyseley station at around 8.25am.

The rail provider said there was expected to be disruption on the line until after 11am as trains had been stopped in both directions.

A spokesman for West Midlands Railway said: "Due to a broken down train at Tyseley, train services running through this station may be cancelled or delayed. 

"Disruption is expected to last until around 11am today.

"We expect some of our trains to be affected by this incident.
