The car ended up with its back end on the pavement after wiping out the bus stop in West Bromwich on Tuesday night.

Fire chiefs said it was fortunate no-one was waiting for a bus at the time and warned drivers to take care on wet roads.

Glass was left scattered over the pavement and road and the bus shelter collapsed on top of the car.

Firefighters from Haden Cross and Oldbury stations attended the scene.

Haden Cross Fire Station said on Twitter: "Drive carefully, the roads are wet. Luckily no-one standing in this bus stop."
