Supermarket demolished in West Midlands town to make way for new Lidl
The former Co-op store has now been torn down to make way for a Lidl supermarket
A former supermarket in Kidderminster has been flattened to make way for a new Lidl.
Work to tear down the Co-op store on Franche Road started a few weeks ago.

It has now been fully demolished.
Lidl had its formal planning application to Wyre Forest District Council approved last year after some changes to the design of the building.

The application will provide a replacement building for Lidl following the demolition of the former supermarket.
The plans also include 130 parking spaces including eight disabled spaces, nine parent and child spaces and two rapid electric vehicle charging spaces.
A number of cycle parking spaces will also be provided.
Access to the car park will be via Wilton Avenue.
Other services inside the store, including the pharmacy and Co-op Travel, have been relocated.
Crest Pharmacy has moved to Marlpool Lane and the Co-op Travel is now located inside Morrisons on Green Street.
