Staffordshire pub aims to keep delivering costs for customers after releasing new menu
Davenports have said the new menu mixes fresh, handmade food with lower prices across the board.
A new menu driven by the customer around price, content, and the direction of the food has been unveiled by a Staffordshire country pub.
The team behind The Red Lion in Bradley have created a menu which serves up handmade dishes with a twist and aspirational dishes, while also looking to keep prices low.
Owners Davenports have said the pub has been able to keep prices at a ‘pocket-sensitive’ price, thanks to micro-managing other facets of the business and sourcing, as well as asking customer input around dishes.

The team have shaved prices across the entire menu, whilst ramping up the variety of dishes.
Starters begin at £5.95 and include the likes of handmade Shepherd’s Pie Croquette whilst Chicken Parmigiana, a mixture of local breaded chicken breast with marinara sauce, melted buffalo mozzarella, Grana Padano, and fries costs just £14.50 as a main.
The range of branded burgers has increased, with the Steak Burger and Full Monty now included, while the hand-rolled authentic Neapolitan Pizzas can be enjoyed on a 2-for-1 basis Wednesday to Friday.

Davenports also said the week is littered with offers, ranging from two handmade courses for £18.95 at lunchtime, the 2-for-1 pizza offer Wednesday to Friday and Grill Night Tuesday which will see customers savouring two quality locally sourced Sirloin steaks with the trimmings and a bottle of wine for only £47.
Davenports Brand and Marketing Director Katie McPhilimey said; “Our foodie reputation didn’t need any work, we’ve simply added more of the delicious flavours and dishes that customers love to further enhance it, and whilst we have always offered quality and value for money, we now have a lower baseline as our price point.

“It’s important to stress the hard work put into lowering prices whilst maintaining and even raising quality, our offers aren’t based on inferior meats or ingredients, our meat is from a prized local butcher, as are so many of our ingredients, so we’re retaining our support of the local economy.
“Our sourcing is never compromised, these lower prices and greater value have been delivered by hard work across the rest of the business, trimming costs cleverly in non-food related areas.”
