Sedgley Charity Beer Festival cancelled for 2026 but organisers hope for 2027 return

Despite the disappointment, organisers remain optimistic that the festival will return in 2027

A popular charity beer festival in Sedgley will not take place this year, organisers have confirmed.

The Sedgley Charity Beer Festival, traditionally held on the last weekend in September at First Sedgley Scout Group's Jubilee Hall headquarters, has been cancelled after organisers said on Facebook they are “unable to run” this year’s festival.

Despite the disappointment, organisers remain optimistic that the festival will return on September 24 and 25 next year.

The festival has built a strong reputation over the past decade, raising more than £100,000 for good causes.

Beneficiaries have included First Sedgley Scout Group and a range of local charities and community organisations.

Organisers thanked supporters for their continued backing over the years and expressed their hope that the much-loved event will once again welcome visitors when it returns in 2027.
