She's running a three-part series of workshops at Custom House, The Waterfront, Brierley Hill, on November 11, 20 and 25 - from 9am to 10.30am, to help small and medium-sized companies who may not know where to start with AI as it transforms industries at pace.

Laura has more than 20 years’ experience supporting businesses across the UK and Europe, is a CIM-qualified generative AI specialist and has been delivering AI training for accountants, manufacturers, charities and professional service firms, helping them to adopt the technology responsibly and effectively.

She said: “Right now, many business owners tell me they feel under pressure to ‘do something’ with AI but don’t know where to begin. The truth is you don’t need to be technical - you just need the right guidance.

"My sessions are designed to demystify AI, highlight both its risks and rewards, and give people practical skills they can start using straight away. This is about empowering local businesses to compete and grow with confidence.

”The workshops are tailored for busy SME [small and medium-sized enterprises] leaders who may not have the time to research the technology in depth, but who want to stay ahead of the curve. Each session will include live demonstrations, relatable case studies, and clear take-home actions that participants can immediately apply to their work."

Laura added: “Adopting AI isn’t about replacing people — it’s about giving them tools to work smarter. By investing just 90 minutes, local businesses can gain knowledge that will save them hours in the long run. My goal is to make AI accessible, reduce the sense of overwhelm, and show that it can be a genuine ally for growth.”

Alex Hall, senior associate at Parcap & Partners, owners of The Waterfront, added: “We’re proud to be partnering with Laura to bring these AI workshops to The Waterfront. As a hub for business in the Black Country, it’s important that we provide opportunities for companies to understand and adopt new technologies like AI. These sessions will give SMEs the clarity and confidence they need to embrace change and thrive.”
